How to use Hell’s Mockups
01
When you open the PSD file, you’ll see a welcome message on a white layer. This helps reduce the file size by roughly 100 MB. Simply unlock the layer and delete it.
02
- To add your design, double-click the Smart Object layer thumbnail YOUR DESIGN HERE. A new tab will open.
- Place your design in this tab by dragging it in or importing it from your desktop.
- Scale and position it as needed, then click Save and close the tab.
- Photoshop will automatically update the design in the main PSD mockup.

Some elements or scenes may not be Smart Objects. To change their color, simply use the Change Color layer.
Once you’re done editing the Smart Object, start pushing it.
Use the Adjustments folder to tweak Hue/Saturation, Exposure, and Levels until it feels right.
To blend your design naturally into the light and shadow of the scene, adjust the Levels layer inside the Adjustments folder. Move the highlight and shadow sliders until the result feels balanced and realistic.
Every color and layout reacts differently to light, so the values won’t be the same each time. Fine-tune, experiment, and shape it until it feels right.
